Pickleball scoring app for open play and tournaments

Updated

DinkPro is a free pickleball scoring app for open play and tournaments. The host taps the winner or enters the final score on the court board, a volunteer can score any court from their own phone, and standings update after every game. A wrong result can be fixed later from Match history, and the board works offline.

How do I enter scores in DinkPro?

When a game ends, tap the court and record the result. With Final score tracking on, enter both teams' final scores; with it off, just tap the winning team. Either way the rotation moves on to that court's next game, and standings, streaks and awards update from the result.

Can a volunteer keep score from their own phone?

Yes. Open the Court scorers panel, add a scorer for a court and let the volunteer scan its QR. Their phone shows that court's game with a big +1 Point button for each team, the game clock, Undo and Pause, and it can finish the game. The host tablet stays in charge: every tap goes through the same rules as a host tap, and if the signal drops the phone keeps unsent taps until they reach the host.

Does DinkPro do live rally scoring for tournaments?

Yes. Turn on live scoring in Tournament Mode and score each rally in side-out or rally scoring. DinkPro keeps only the rally log and replays every score from it, so it always knows who serves, the score call, game point, match point and when to change ends in the deciding game. The host still confirms the final result.

What if a score was recorded wrong?

Tap Revert winner on the court to take back the result just saved. For an older game, open Match history and tap Correct: fix who partnered whom, the opponents, the winner or the score, preview what changes for each player, then confirm. Standings, ratings and streaks re-read every later game, the change is logged, and Undo last correction brings the old result back. Games played never move, so the rotation stays fair.

Scoring questions

Is there a free pickleball scoring app?

Yes. DinkPro is free and runs in the browser on a tablet or phone. The host needs no login, and the board, scores and standings keep working with no internet. A volunteer scorer only needs a phone with a browser.

Do I have to enter scores, or just the winner?

Your choice in open play. Final score tracking records both scores, which feeds point differential tiebreaks. Turn it off and tap the winner for faster changeovers. Level-Up Skill and Clutch Mode always keep scores, because ratings and timed results come from them.

What scoring formats does DinkPro support?

Tournament Mode offers one game to 11, 15 or 21, best of three games to 11, and custom rules from 1 to 99 points, win by one or two, one game or best of three. Group stages default to one game to 11, and a grand final reset is always one game to 15, win by two.

How are standings decided when players are tied?

Open play standings rank players by wins minus losses, then total wins. Players still level are separated by head-to-head, then point differential, then head-to-head point differential, then total points scored. Players' phones show which tiebreaker decided the place, and the host can stage a tie-breaker game to settle a tie on court.

Does the Court Scorer need internet?

Yes. The scorer's phone talks to the host's device over the internet, so both need a connection. If the signal drops, the phone keeps unsent taps and sends them when it reconnects, and the host can always score the court directly.
